Developing breast cancer patient support, awareness, and education
Increasing disease understanding and awareness is an essential component of supporting patients with breast cancer diagnoses. We spoke to Jo Taylor from After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD), Saddleworth, Manchester, UK, at the UK Oncology Forum (OF) 2018, held in Liverpool, UK, about her own experience as a breast cancer patient, and her current work in patient activism and support. She discusses ABCD, patient activism and the support organization METUP UK, as well their new initiatives to raise awareness about secondary breast cancer.
